Ko ko ko koh Rong, Cambodia

So I have finally left Cambodia for something better, Thailand 🙂

I dont know…Cambodia wasnt my thing, but Koh Rong was really my thing 😀

So I have already told you about the crazy border and expensive Siem Reap and if you havent read that just go back a few posts so you can read about it.

But I took the night bus from Siem Reap to Sihanoukville and my plan was to stay there a few days but I change my mind and decided to go straight to Koh Rong.  The bus was terrible! It was a “sleeper” bus so I got the bed next to the toilet who didnt work ( thanks for that ) But my “bed” was so small! Everyone around me complained because they couldnt s stretch out their legs but hey! I needed to lay like a small ball in the back next to the toilet and also on the bottom floor so if you will do the same bus trip as me, tell the guys that you want a top bed.

But after 12h on a bus I finally arrived at Sihanoukville and after ½ second 10 tuk-tuk guys was around me… So I pick the one who get me the best price, 1$, and he take me to a travel agency so I can buy my boat ticket and then he drove me to the pier.

So the boat ticket to Koh Rong is 20$, 2 ways, the price is the same everywhere or at most of the places so thats the price 🙂 On the boat I meet 2 German guys that I have hanged out with for the whole time I was there and they are so fun to hang out with. Also the Dutch guy I told you about. I know I have already told you about them but we had a really nice time together on the Island. Not that many people stay at Koh Rong for more than 2 days but we was there for 2 weeks 😀 It was so nice there, I just want to go back !!! Maybe get a job on the Backpackers Hostel ( the hostel I lived in ).

Backpackers hostel is a really nice place, they have dorm rooms for 5$ pr day and the whole Island have power just for a few hours everyday and the wifi and the music is power from a battery or something 😀 HAHA I really dont know exactly how it works but they also dont have any tap water at all. So if you are picky with that maybe you should just go to Koh Rong for a day trip 🙂 Its also sand flies everywhere on the beach so be prepared for that because it will itch as hell and it will get infected and there is not really a pharmacy there or hospital, thats 3h boat journey away….

The last day at Koh  Rong we woke up and started to play Rummy and we just got stuck and played that ALL day long 🙂 HAHAH But it was a nice last day because I also won the game 😉 after 30 games!!!

When you go to Koh Rong bring some pen and paper because there is a few kids on the island and they also need to go to school so they need paper and pen 🙂 You can also be a teacher for them for a few hours on Monday, Wednesday or Friday 🙂 Its not hard to find where the school is…But it is on the third pier 🙂

Ok, So I finally decided to leve the Island to go to Phnom Penh to fix my visa for Thailand, because 15 days is not enough for me so I needed a visa.  And one of the German guys had already left so me and the other German guy and the Dutch guy decide to go the same day and the 10.00 boat. So we wake up around 9.00 and I went to the place opposite the pier to order a fruit shake and the Dutch guy makes a short movie when the German guy jumped off the pier and from nowhere the German guy comes to me and said that someone stole hes little bag with all the important stuff, passport, bank card, money!!!! Everything! So we search for it everywhere but we couldnt find it!!! So I borrowed him some money so he could come with me to Phnom Penh and go to the German Embassy. When we arrived to Phnom Penh everything was closed and it was dark, hot and rainy… And when I google about the visa everyone was writing that it will take 3-4 working days to get my visa and I didnt wanna stay in Phnom Penh until Wednesday so I booked a flight because then I get 30 days 🙂 So I hope everything sorted for the German guy and I wish him good luck with everything and Im happy because Im in Bangkok and everything here is as usual 🙂 Hot, stressy and just as Bangkok should be 🙂
